Larry: Mo, Mo, guess what we learned about in Sunday school yesterday?

Mo: Uh. Did you learn that a lizard can’t eat a bear?

Larry: No Mo, I already knew that! I learned about how God created Adam and Eve and put them in a beautiful place called the Garden of Eden. It had all sorts of fruit!

Mo: I hope that Garden had cake in it. I just love cake!

Larry: Mo, cake isn’t a fruit You know, Adam and Eve had a lot to take care of. They took care of all of the plants and trees in the garden and the animals there too.

Mo: Well that sounds like a lot of work and I - don’t – like - work!

Larry: It was a lot of work, but it was important work and they had a great time in the garden with all of the animals and plants and God there too.

Mo: Uh.. OK, if you say so Larry. I’ll see you later.

Larry: Bye Mo.

<puppets exit>

Mo: Heya Bob, are you ready to go play Game Cube?

Bob: Sure Mo, I can’t wait to race my new car!

Ruffy: <barking> ruff ruff.

Mo: What is it Ruffy?

Ruffy: <barking> ruff ruff.

Mo: You say you are hungry again? I just fed you two days ago!

Bob: Mo, aren’t you supposed to feed your dog twice a day. Ruffy sounds like he is hungry.

Mo: But I’m busy Bob. I’ve been waiting to play Game Cube and Ruffy is slowing me down. Sometimes I wish I didn’t even have a dog.

Ruffy: <make some sad sounds.. wimpers, crying>

Bob: Now now Ruffy, you’ll be OK.

Mo: Ruffy, I’ll try and feed you after I’m done. Go to sleep or eat your toys until then.

<puppets exit>

Ruffy: <make barking and doggy crying sounds>

Larry: Ruffy, what’s wrong boy? You look so skinny!

Ruffy: <bark four times>

Larry: You’re saying that Mo doesn’t like you any more?

Ruffy: <bark once>

Larry: You must be mistaken. Mo *loves* you.

Ruffy: <wimper and then bark four times>

Larry: You say he has not fed you in two days?

Ruffy: <wimper and bark three times>

Larry: You say you want me to take care of you now?

Ruffy: <bark twice and then make a panting sound>

Larry: Ruffy, you know I can’t take you from Mo. Let’s talk to him about it. Come on with me.

<puppets exit>

<first just have Mo on stage calling for Ruffy>

Mo: Ruffy, Ruffy, Where are you? I have something for you to eat.

<Larry and Ruffy come up>

Ruffy: <bark twice>

Mo: Oh there you are Ruffy. I have been looking all over for you and could not find you. Where have you been?

Larry: He came to my house. Ruffy is very sad because you have not fed him for two days!

Mo: Ruffy, I am sooo sorry. I have been very bad. I didn’t take care of the dog that God gave to me.

Ruffy: <make a howling sound>

Mo: Will you please forgive me and come back home? I have your food ready and I promise I will feed you twice a day and play with you every day too.

Ruffy: <wag his tail with happy barking.. ruff, ruff, ruff>

Larry: Now that you two are happy, I’m happy too. Let’s go to your house and feed Ruffy!

<all puppets say bye and exit>

Scary Rumor

Larry: Hey Mo. Guess what? I’m moving to a new house and I get my own room. It’s been tough sleeping with my big brother because he snores!

Mo: (speak slow and loud - like he is scared) You mean you will be sleeping by yourself?

Larry: Yep, I’m so excited!

Mo: But Larry, haven’t you heard of the Hamburger monster that eats kids up if they sleep alone?

Larry: The Hamburger monster?

Mo: Yes, the Hamburger monster. If I were you, I’d keep sleeping with your brother.

Larry: That sounds scary! Come to think of it, it’s getting dark so I better get home.

< puppets exit stage >

Bob: Hi Larry. Boy you look really tired!

Larry: Oh Bob, I am tired. I was up all night because of the hamburger monster that was in my closet.

Bob: There is no such thing as the hamburger monster!

Larry: But I heard him making squeaking noises in my closet.

Bob: Now I’m sure there is no such thing. You trust God don’t you?

Larry: Well sure I do.

Bob: Then let’s pray about it.

Larry: That sounds like a good idea.

<Puppets hold hands while Bob prays>

Bob: "God, we know that you love us and protect us. Please help Larry to be brave and know that you are with him."

Larry: I’m going to trust God. If I hear a noise, I’m going to check my closet tonight.

Larry: <talking to himself> I’m not going to be afraid. God will protect me.

< money makes squeaking noises>

Larry: What was that? "God, I know you are here with me. I’m going to be brave and see what that is making noise in my closet".

<Larry goes under stage and *talks loudly*>

Larry: George, what are you doing eating my candy? You come back here.

< Monkey squeaks and runs on stage and then off>

Larry: Mo, guess what? There is no such thing as the Hamburger monster!

Mo: How do you know?

Larry: Because I slept all by myself last night and didn’t see it.

Mo: Really? My friend Sam said the story about the Hamburger monster was true.

Larry: You should not believe everything that you hear. Next time you should ask someone else like your mom and dad.

Mo: Thanks for telling me Larry. Next time I will ask my mom or dad. Come to think of it, I’m going to go and tell my mom that I want to sleep by myself tonight!

Larry: Great Mo. I’ll see you later.

<Puppets say bye and exit>

Bob: Hi Mo, how are you today?

Mo: <Mo is eating a candy bar so he should mumble when he talks – but be loud and clear enough so the kids can hear> Uh.. I'm doing pretty good today.

Bob: Mo, why are you talking so funny?

Mo: <mumbling still> Who me, Uh.. I'm not talking funny.

Bob: Yes you are Mo. Hey, you are eating something. Do I smell chocolate?

Mo: <make a gulp/swallow sound>. Did you just hear someone calling me? I have to go home. Bye.

Bob: Bye.

<puppets exit stage>

<have Bob on stage first – humming, then Larry will come up>

Larry: Hey Bob, guess what time it is?

Bob: Uh.. it's about 11:30 Larry.

Larry: No, not the time of day. It's time for me to eat my candy bar!

Bob: Oh. That sounds good. Maybe you can share some with me.

Larry: Sure buddy. <have him looking around then say..> Hey, where is my candy bar? I left it right here <have him point downwards at the base of the stage>.

Bob: Uh.. I don't know.

Larry: Hey, I smell chocolate. Larry! Did you eat my candy bar?

Bob: <act nervous> No, I promise, I didn't eat it.

Larry: I don't believe you! I smell chocolate, so someone ate my candy bar and you are the only one here. You ate it! I'm going home!

<puppets exit stage>

<first just Bob and Mo>

Bob: <angry> Mo, you got me in really big trouble.

Mo: How did I do that Bob?

Bob: Now I know you were eating a chocolate bar earlier because someone stole Larry's chocolate bar and now he has blamed it on me!!

Mo: <crying> Ahhh.. I admit it! I stole his chocolate bar.

Bob: Now what are you going to do?

Mo: I have to tell him what I did and ask him to forgive me. <have Mo call for Larry> Larry, oh Larry..

<Larry comes on stage>

Larry: Oh.. it's Mo, and Bob the thief!

Mo: Larry, I have to confess. It was me who stole your candy bar. Please... Please forgive me. I get my allowance this Friday and I'll buy you a new one.

Larry: Oh.. OK Mo. I forgive you. Now I have to ask Bob for forgiveness. Bob will you please forgive me for accusing you of stealing my candy bar?

Bob: Sure Larry, I forgive you.

Mo: Well who is going to tell the kids goodbye.

Larry: Why don't all of us..
