Freedom To Approach God

Ephesians 3:12  “In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.” (NIV)

There are several significant points that can be gleaned from this passage of scripture.  Faith is a key ingredient in approaching God.  Do you also catch a couple of other key words?   “Freedom” and “confidence.”  When I think of freedom, my heart and mind go to a place that is sometimes hard to grasp.  It is a place beyond my wildest dreams.  To me, freedom in Christ means I can actually believe all the wonderful things God has placed upon my heart.  I can ask for them, with confidence.  It is as if God is saying it is ok to go to Him without any hindrances or doubts.  Only a lack of faith in Him holds us back.  Once a person is found in Him and places their faith in Him, there do not have to be any barriers separating that person from God.  This principle applies to you.  The God of the universe has made a way for you and I to be close to Him.  I believe that God does not want us holding back from approaching Him.  Faith is key here.  You and I can approach Him with all that we are.  You can take the deepest matters of your heart to Him.  He will be there for you.  God is giving us permission to approach Him.  He has made a way when there was no way!
