Entering Jacob's Trouble by Brandon Burton 30 July 2006 From the Prophet Jeremiah: “These are the words the Lord spoke concerning Israel and Judah: “This is what the Lord says: “ 'Cries of fear are heard-- terror, not peace. Ask and see: Can a man bear children? Then why do I see every strong man with his hands on his stomach like a woman in labor, every face turned deathly pale? How awful that day will be! None will be like it. It will be a time of trouble for Jacob, but he will be saved out of it. “ 'In that day,' declares the Lord Almighty, 'I will break the yoke off their necks and will tear off their bonds; no longer will foreigners enslave them.” Jeremiah 30: 4-8 (NIV)
As you watch my children Israel, consider their national condition and your spiritual condition. For the words of life are spoken to you both. As I enter a time to deliver Israel, you are also entering a time to be delivered from bondage that has so easily ensnared you. There are many heavy burdens that many of you bear that I did not intend. As the nations carefully watch Israel, also watch the work of deliverance that I have begun in you. Yes, I have already begun the work of deliverance in you. While I did not intend that you should strive with sin and bondage, I will use what the enemy has intended for your destruction and bring forth good from it. The enemy has sought to destroy Israel; even so now, the enemy is trying to destroy the nation and people through whom the covenant was promised. The enemy shall not prevail! My promises are faithful and true forever. So it is with you, the enemy will not destroy you. The nations watch Israel closely. Look how news and information about Israel are being broadcast throughout the entire world concerning my chosen people. The remedy to their problems are not easily found by the wisdom of man. So it is with you, the remedy to your problems are not easily found within your own wisdom. Your deliverance from the bondage that has so easily beset you for years is found in no other than the Most High God. It will take some time to watch Israel's deliverance, and your deliverance will take some time. For some, you have already endured much of that time. For others, you have some more time to learn of the things that allow you to walk in freedom. Know that I am with you no matter where you are in your trials and deliverance. Do not listen to any man who would tell you that you are forsaken by God. Do not listen to any who would say that there is no hope for your condition. Do not listen to any who would say that “if you had only done this,” or “if you had only done that.” Know that your deliverance is at hand. Yes, that is the promise. Your deliverance is at hand! As the time of your deliverance draws nigh, prepare for the harvest that is soon to come. For your trials and sorrows have not been in vain. For there will be a great multitude of people who will come to redemption as the time of my return comes ever so near, and these people will need believers who are mature in the faith to walk with them through their deliverance. It is important for you to remember that the work of deliverance is not always easy. According to the flesh, deliverance does not appear to be deliverance at all. Once again, watch Israel. They are going through many trials. They are in a war! So are you! You are in a spiritual war. This war crosses over into the physical realm where your human flesh lives. Do not allow yourself to be deceived. Just because you are having a difficult time in your life, that does not mean that I have left and forsaken you. On the contrary, I love you and desire your freedom from the bondage of sin. So watch as I deliver Israel with my mighty right hand, and watch as I deliver you with my mighty right hand.
